  • Overview

    The Omni channel Technical Lead will be responsible for defining process for enhancing the consumer/shopping experience. This position will ensure clients are engaged during all elements of the customer experience including pre-shopping, shopping, post-purchase, and in between shopping cycles.   This position will be responsible for developing and leveraging process improvements to Omni channel retailing, as well as directing the technical execution of all programs. The lead will be will be responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and maintenance of the DOM system and deliver the omni channel functionalities using Manhattan DOM.   


    Key Accountabilities:


    • Define all points of integration between omni channel applications and other systems
    • Own Manhattan’s Distributed Order Management (DOM) software to optimize cross- channel order management through all elements of the customer experience
    • Lead the implementation of any changes to omni channel
    • Lead and conduct research to stay updated on trends and new technologies and on data integration needs for omni channel
    • Maintain the Distributed Order Management (DOM) system which includes monitoring batch processing, data issues, data uploads, integrity, etc.
    • Coordinate the timing and dependencies of future upgrades
    • Determine the system requirements for designing and developing hardware, software, and telecommunications solutions
    • Extract data from databases for report generation and recommend improvements to reports
    • Plan, install, configure, maintain, and distribute system software
    • Diagnose and repair problems and deploy upgrades to existing networks
    • Liaise between systems group and end users
    • Monitor data quality and integrity
    • Provide technical support as needed and advise on the use of programming tools and database systems
    • Provide after-hours support as needed to users
    • Provide training to end users as needed


    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field
    • 3-5 years of systems experience
    • Previous IT experience with large enterprise architecture
    • Understanding of eCommerce and store processes
    • Understanding of eCommerce and store technologies
    • MIF, web Method Design and development is preferred
    • Proficient in Java/J2ee language


    Skills and Behaviors:

    • Knowledge of computer programming and relational databases 
    • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office
    • Excellent time management skills as well as the ability to work towards multiple timelines
    • Ability to train end users
