The Manager, Change Management and Organizational Development works closely with the Director, Change Management and Organizational Development and Vice President, Learning, Change and Communications to support, and in some cases lead, the creation and deployment of human capital, process, and systems change management programs for targeted business units, with a focus on business transformation activities. The Manager has experience building and deploying cultural transformation plans, change vision, organizational design, and human capital strategy with and for key business leaders. This individual will work closely with the Business Transformation Office and leadership teams as a subject matter expert in the above areas

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

 

Change Management

  • Supports the change management and organizational design components of transformation strategies and activities by designing, and contributing to the design, of change strategies, identifying human capital risks (and providing mitigating strategies) and opportunities, and consulting with project leads to integrate appropriate change management tools
  • Builds change management expertise in business leaders by sharing tools and methodologies, coaching leaders to recognize and minimize resistance and building change management learning opportunities formally and on the job
  • Partners with Business Transformation Office to align BTO governance models with strategy to ensure the successful completion and adoption of initiatives
  • Engage other HR and business leaders such as the HRBPs, Communications and Engagement, Learning and Development and key stakeholders to provide holistic strategies and change management programs for the business
  • Builds and manages follow up/adoption plans that include qualitative and quantitative metrics. Tracks, analyzes and communicates outcomes of changes and provides recommendations to the business on adoption issues and mitigation strategies as well as follow up activities that will ensure the long-term success of all changes

 

Organizational Development

  • Designs, develops and deploys programs that articulate and drive business strategy and culture
  • Coaches teams on developing and cultivating organizational capabilities necessary to drive the overall transformation of The Children’s Place
  • Partners with business leaders to create and, in some cases, facilitate strategic offsites/meetings or other programs that help achieve business goals
  • Diagnoses and provides solutions to organizational issues

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s degree a plus
  • Certifications in key leadership or psychometric assessments preferred
  • 5+ years business/industry work experience in Change Management, Engagement or Organizational Development required. Experience in retail environment preferred; must have small company/fast-paced business background
  • Proven success in creating and implementing strategies, processes and systems that drive effective and efficient implementation of business initiatives and change management required
  • Experience working on global initiatives across businesses
