Overview

  • The Product Lifecycle Management Trainer and Implementation Specialist (Apparel + Accessories) works with the business and project partners to document processes, build training materials and deliver training to cross functional business partners representing all areas of product development, sourcing and production. This role will also provide on-going hyper care/sustainability support. This position reports into the sourcing organization and will be responsible for ongoing process and implementation support.  Some overseas travel required as well as ability to support overseas calls during their workday (morning and evening calls). A member of the Sourcing PLM team with a dotted into Learning + Development/HR.

Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities:

  • Key Accountabilities:

    • Serve as the PLM Trainer and  Implementation Specialist - Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) (Apparel + Accessories)
    • Support various cross functional learning groups with specialized requirements and varying skill sets.
    • Document business process questions/challenges and collaborate with the core project team on solutions.
      • Work with subject matter experts during strategy creation, process mapping, build and testing to learn the system and determine training objectives
      • Communicates and fosters a strong relationship with PLM users and leaders
    • Partner with the Organizational Change Management team to understand the current state and future state for all stakeholder groups in order to inform the training strategy

     

    • Training Materials Development
      • Partner with project and business leads to develop a training curriculum for current and future projects and system implementations
      • Responsible for any necessary document development including, step by step technical documents, business process clarification, job aids, quick ref guides, facilitator guides and other training tools
      • Using subject matter expertise, build innovative and easy-to-understand training materials that will ensure knowledge transfer to and adoption by all user groups
      • Maintain training materials for PLM to ensure materials are up to date and available through the PLM Learning Portal
      • Build and maintain data in a test/training system environment to support training classes
      • Print class materials to be handed out during instructor led classroom sessions

     

    • Training Implementation
      • Lead focused learning sessions that include demonstration and hands on class room support.
      • Deliver content organized into learning modules representing the various business processes that support the Product Lifecycle.
      • Support end users through targeted “just in time” working sessions focused on best practices and data entry efficiency
      • Organize and plan all instructor-led technical training programs
      • Deliver Web conference training classes to associates and vendor partners

     

     

    • Drive the sustainability of the project
      • Partnering with the Organizational Change Management Director and business lead(s), develop and deploy ongoing training and support for PLM for new hires or transfers (post-go live) e.g., new hire training, training on new releases or system updates


    • Create, keep and report data on courses
      • Track participants and report back to the Organizational Change Management team and business lead(s)
      • Build and communicate key metrics around participation, knowledge transfer and system adoption

Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Supply Chain, IT, Education, Communications or other related field
  • Five years’ experience as a technical trainer, preferably in a retail, media or other fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge and hands on experience with one or more PLM applications, implementing or supporting the end to end product lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of basic Adobe creative Cloud 17 including sketching, coloring, layering, and file management
  • High level of flexibility, creativity, and dependability as project requirements shift rapidly
  • Excellent presentation, communication and collaboration skills
  • Knowledge of PLM configuration and data governance
  • Full knowledge of the end to end product development process for apparel and or accessories
  • Ability to lead, inspire and motivate class participants
  • Ability to apply technical knowledge to business situations
  • Ability to gather and document requirements
  • History of developing relationships and working cross-departmentally to achieve desired outcomes
  • Training strategy, instructional design, and execution experience on technology adoption projects a plus
